Compare makes side by side
Vehicles on record, average engine size and pass rate, so you can see how one make sits against another.
Every test, not a sample
Built from the whole national record rather than a survey, including tests on vehicles that have since left the road.
Figures come from the national MOT history record published by DVSA, which covers vehicles tested in Great Britain since 2005 and in Northern Ireland since 2017. "On record" includes vehicles that have since been scrapped or exported, so it is not a count of cars on the road, and it is not a count of vehicles tested on this site. Pass rate counts every MOT test on record, including retests that a failed car later passed.
